Diablo Flooring,Inc : Why I Can't Afford Cheap...
I remember reading a story once about an octogenarian discussing her most prized possessions with a researcher. She shows the researcher an iron that’s been going for over 40 years and explains how she had to scrimp and save to buy the product and how it ended up out living even her husband. Quizzed on why she spent so much money on the iron she said “I’m too poor to buy cheap!”
Too poor to buy cheap. That simple phase really resonated with me and has stuck with me ever since.
Cheap is quick. Cheap is dirty. Cheap is disposable.
Cheap breaks.
Cheap costs money. It costs money to fix, it costs money to replace.
Cheap seems like a good idea at the time but cheap fails when you most need it.
Cheap is flimsy and unsatisfying.
Cheap is inefficient.
Cheap gets in your way.
Cheap costs you time and it costs you customers.
Cheap always cost you more in the end. That’s why I can’t afford to buy cheap. Can you?

Rugs are really affordable décor enhancers for any living or work space. After a year of your first decoration, rooms need a little change and most of the time; little changes make a big difference. Rugs can definitely brighten up a room and give a whole new look for the new season. With so many rug choices out there, finding one that works best for you and looks great against the room can be pretty brain-wrecking.
Here are some tips to help you decide what area rugs goes best for your home:
Choosing the Location
When buying a area rug, one thing to know is where you would want to place it. This also needs to take into account the amount of traffic that will use the room and the spot where you’d want your rug to be on. For areas with high-traffic, an idea rug should be of high quality and durable. Style and taste isn’t a high priority compared to the quality unless of course that are is low in traffic. Rugs for high traffic areas need to be of good quality as it will experience more wear and tear.
Deciding on a Focal Point
You would also need to decide if the area rug is going to be the focal point of the room. If it is, then choose a rug with a design or pattern that screams attention. Rugs with plain colors or simple designs are better suited for areas where you’d like it to be in the background and if there is a furniture item that you’d rather focus on.
Pets & Children
Pets and children are other considerations to take into account. Pets have fur and most of them prefer to make the rugs their home, which can cause serious damage to your rug, especially if it’s expensive. If the rug is in high-traffic area and where kids and children are normally around, better to get a stain resistant rug. Most stores now offer rugs with stain resistant components apart from looking chic and stylish.
Deciding on your budget
Before you begin the process of shopping for your rug, you would need to determine how much you are willing to spend on the rug. All the items mentioned above will help you into determining your budget. You definitely do not want to overspend on an area rug especially when they come in a variety of prices. An area rug can start from as low as fifty dollars and can go up to a few thousands of dollars depending on the quality. If you are on a tighter budget, synthetic rugs are a good option. Synthetic rugs normally have fibers that are punched.
Decorating with a rug
When deciding on the size of the rug, always leave space between the rug and the walls. You do not want an area rug that pokes into the walls of the room. There should be a comfortable space between rug and wall. Some of the popular places to place a rug are under the dining table.
Area rugs that are used for the dining table usually measure up to 4 to 5 inches from out the table on every side. You will definitely have even borders around the walls in the room and even have enough space for the chairs. Seating comfortably at the dining table while looking chic will definitely increase your appetite.

I was very happy with the work that Diablo Floors did installing new carpet in my two bedrooms. They came out pretty quickly to do a free measurement. After the measurement we went to their shop to pick out carpet. They have a TON of carpet and hardwood floor options, everything from the lowest budget and ultra luxury flooring. At the store they helped us out with choosing the carpet based on our needs. They completed the installation pretty quickly, moving our furniture around as needed and cleaning everything up afterwards. Just two bedrooms is a pretty small job but they didn't treat it any different than a bigger job, the service was excellent. If I move and need new flooring again I'll definitely go with Diablo Flooring. Nikki

In 2011 we started talking to installers about extending an existing manufactured wood floor from one area of the house to another. Because the original flooring was discontinued, we were reluctant to even proceed with the project. We worked with all of the major flooring installers in the tri-valley, but only Diablo took the time to help us find the perfect match. The owner Brian personally visited our home several times with samples, and was always eager to pick-up, drop-off, or meet at his showroom (which by the way is sharp and clean). Brian also emphasized Diablo's attention to detail. We made it clear to Diablo that we wanted a top-notch installation - not the mediocre quality more typical of carpet stores and Home D. With Brian's expert assistance in selecting materials and planning for the installation, our new manufactured flooring matched almost perfectly. Brian even went a step further and suggested a few aftermarket products that we could apply to the original flooring to more closely match the sheen of the new floor. We found a few minor problems with the initial installation but Brian quickly resolved them. It's hard to find responsive and professional installers in the home improvement industry - and Diablo's high quality service was an unexpected surprise. We were extremely pleased with the final project and would like to thank Brian for his guidance and follow through. I recently purchased my first home and needed carpet to be put in 2 rooms. Since I'm remodeling my whole house I needed someone affordable and trustworthy.
When it comes to carpet this is never a DIY option you should always go to a professional.I found Diablo Flooring off of yelp and went in on a Tuesday and was greeted by the owner Brian.I went in thinking I would look at some samples, get a quote and go home to think it over.
Well within the first 15 minutes I have already made my decision and we were placing our order.
Brian will always tell you the truth. He is not there to sell you over priced carpet/flooring!
He is there to make sure you get what you want for the best price around.I had some time before I needed the carpet installed so we placed our order and called back about a week later to schedule installation.
I was not home during the installation due to work but my contractor/dad was there working on the house when the installers came.
He told me they were super nice and a pleasure to deal with. After seeing and feeling it I would have had no problem even paying double what I did, but glad I didn't.
Brian called afterwards to follow up which shows he cares. The color is great, installation was perfect I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!!!

I am upgrading the floors in my home, both carpet and wood. I interviewed many contractors who gave me great quotes. I chose the one in the middle of the pack and then wasted over a month listening to commitments that didn’t happen, sample materials that did not excite me and installment details that left me wondering if they knew what they were doing. After the third appointment to finalize the plans was missed, I fired the contractor. I then went the top of my list of quality providers of flooring and called Diablo. They are not the cheapest, but I wanted the job done right. I am now dealing with knowledgeable professionals. The project is almost completed and it has been a great experience. Larry D

Moscow-based interior decorators,Geometrix have done it again. They have stumped us with this modern-vintage, black and white luxury apartment, decked out with Marilyn Monroe prints on the walls that evoke the 1950′s era, but with modern black and white decor. One might say this could be a perfect fit for a 1950′s celebrity like Marilyn or a modern-day one with a love for old Hollywood glamour. We dig!
