Santos Mahogany, is one of Brazil's most sought after species and rightfully so. Santos Mahogany has a rich reddish brown color and a very beautiful tight grain. It presents slight color variations which actually provide it an even more exotic look which is very much admired by all who see it.

Brazilian Teak

In my perusal of the Shaw floors tips and trends, I noticed this helpful little booklet on “A Woman’s Guide to Flooring” underneath the question “Not Sure Where to Start?”. Click here to download now!

The guide has some fabulous tips such as determining the functionality of the room and  the personality you’re trying to create, and gathering swatches that meet these choices. There are a number of flooring types available: carpet, ceramic tile, hardwood floors, laminate flooring, and area rugs.

Style 101 in the guide lists four different styles to help you choose your floors: modern, retro, natural, and fashion-inspired. I feel like there are many more styles than just these, but it’s a start.
